This Principles of Radiologic Imaging course covers the major technical factors and imaging principles involved in radiography. Topics include radiation production and characteristics, radiographic image quality, digital image acquisition and display, equipment operation and quality control, radiation safety and protection principles, and imaging procedures. Upon completion, students will be able to understand and apply technical concepts to produce optimal-quality diagnostic radiographs.
